Here’s some feedback on my overall experience while trying out a course after finding SourceCad for the first time through YouTube.
I recently completed the AutoCAD Essentials course for complete beginners and while the overall experience was good, there were a few things that got under my skin after a while.
- I understand this lesson may have been on the older side and possibly because it is a free course, but the amount of videos in the course with a max quality of 720p made it difficult to make out certain things on the instructor’s screen. This meant I had to go back more than once to see what he was typing out or the functions he was selecting.
- The inability to stay in full screen after each video was also quite distracting. With each lesson in the course averaging about 2 minutes long, the page would refresh when a video ended, and I would have to make it full screen again, but that could just be a personal gripe.
- When coming back to the site to carry on with the course i always found that I had to hunt through the interface to find out where to continue my lesson and when i clicked on “My Lessons” it would show a bunch of free courses that i had not singed up for previously.
Other than those three things, everything else worked as it should have and the course definitely helped me out, as a brand new user to AutoCad.
